1. First Aid & Emergency Response Course  $300

This crucial course provides Hutterite colony members with life-saving first aid skills, including CPRwound treatment, and handling fractures and burns. The training also covers how to respond in farm-specific emergencies, such as machinery entrapment or chemical exposure, ensuring that everyone knows what to do before professional medical help arrives.






2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Usage  $400

PPE can be the difference between a minor injury and a life-threatening accident. This course teaches workers how to properly select, wear, and maintain essential safety gear like gloves, helmets, goggles, and protective clothing. We also address when to use specific types of PPE depending on the task, and how improper use can put workers at risk.


3. Machinery Safety & Maintenance  $700

This course covers the safe operation and maintenance of farm machinery like tractors, harvesters, and balers. Participants will learn proper safety procedures, including how to inspect equipment before use, handle emergency stops, and avoid common hazards associated with heavy machinery. We’ll also demonstrate routine maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime due to accidents.


4. Colony Fire Safety & Prevention   $450

Fires can spread quickly on farms, especially in barns or near fuel storage areas. This course equips participants with fire prevention techniques, proper storage of flammable materials, and how to create a fire evacuation plan. We also teach the use of fire extinguishers and when to call for professional fire services, emphasizing prevention as the best form of protection.


5. Chemical Safety and Handling $500

Exposure to chemicals such as pesticides, fertilizers, and fuels can pose serious health risks if not handled correctly. This course teaches safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals. Participants will learn how to read safety labels, understand the dangers of improper chemical use, and implement emergency protocols in case of a chemical spill.
